Hmm Facebook is the only one I use at the moment, I used to use Hi5 and MySpace but they are just silly now. I guess people need a way to make money so they take advantage of social networks. For example, in Facebook you get a dish load of ads thanks to information such as location, age, political views, religion, etc. Isn’t it a bit immoral to use that as a data mining source for marketing. I mean, they get millions in sponsorships already. Thank God I have AdBlock. Anyway, the applications is yet another story. For helpless people who do not know how to ban them, they will always be plagued with apps such as ”buy me for money” and ”vampire bites” etc. I guess Facebook got kinda boring so they decided to spice it up. Guess what, I have a rather popular account and my page only has two applications outside the official set (which are RSS Feeds for my blog and Top Friends). It’s annoying to see when people have 1 million applications and you just sit there waiting for it to load.
